How to clean/disinfect vintage (second hand) shoes?

What products can I use (household ones or disinfectant sprays etc) to clean shoes? Vintage shoes, leather ones and some are delicate etc. Is there a shoe disinfectant spray you can buy? and i dont want to use anything that would leave the smell of hospital-grade

Try some bleach in the washing machine. Air dry or hang on the line in the sun.
