How do I get rid of the old dusty leather/suede smell from the inside of a vintage leather purse?

I bought a vintage leather bag that's not lined on the inside, and the inside suede has a old, musty smell to it. I would like to know if there are any ways to get rid of that smell, or make it less noticable. I'd appreciate your suggestions!

Place a dryer sheet in it and close it up for a couple of days. Also takes out cigarrette smoke.

I purchased a used book that smelled like cigarrette smoke. Dryer sheets did the trick.

There is no oil in the dryer sheets.

I mentioned it briefly in April's post, but now that I've got my own I realised I did it a massive injustice by awarding it a mere sentence of text.  Not only is it made of the most beautifully soft leather (so soft it's almost suede), my colleague also said it looks like cake*.  It's like this bag was made for me, it's that perfect.  As a bit of an organisational freak, I really appreciate the What's especially wonderful is that this bag hasn't replaced my beautiful satchel  because...
