difference between swarovski and other rhinestones?

can someone please explain to me the difference between swarovski rhinestones and "other" rhinestones?
if you say the swarovskis are "real", then define real. like not made of glass?.. and they are real crystals? i don't know,

Swarovski are real! where others are fake so Swarovski look lovely and shinyer then the fake ones :)
