Cheap Rings
I have a sterling silver David Yurman ring that was originally a size 8, then got resized to a 10 and now I want to give it to someone who wears a 5 1/2 ring size. Can it safely be resized that small?
Resizing smaller is always easier than larger - no need to add more metal to the band. My guess is it probably can be resized, but get a jeweler to look at it and give you a final answer. It shouldn't cost you anything for that.
