
What type of tree is featured on the back of the Finnish pennia coin?
The front has a heraldic lion, and the coin I saw said "20" on the back as well. Any information about the tree would be appreciated. Is it by a certain artist? What species is it? etc. Thanks!
Yea, I agree that it's a pine tree ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pine ), which is probably like the most common tree in Finnish woods. The coin seems to be designed by a guy called Peippo Uolevi Helle. The side that has "20 penniä" on it is
