The obverse of the coin is designed by Architect Petri Neuvonen and depicts a puck flying into the goal. The text “HELSINKI STOCKHOLM” and the year “2012” appear around the primary design. The reverse, also the work of Petri Neuvonen, depicts a player with the puck at a face-off, in anticipation of a tie-breaking goal. The first commemorative coin of Turkey was minted in 1970. The mintage of commemorative coins have been increasing in quantity and in assortment until now. But in comparison to world standards, the mintage quantities of Turkey are in rare or very rare category.
